                        Great River Corvette Club 2009 Scholarship Award

      On July 18 & 19, 2009 the annual Great River Corvette club auto cross was held at John Wood Community College parking lot. Each year, applications are taken from students wanting to pursue an automotive repair career and a recipient is chosen.  On Saturday, July 18th, Great River Corvette Club then President Mark Voepel,  presented a scholarship check for  $1,000 to Travis Kelle who will graduate from QND and will be going to SIU Automotive in Edwardsville. 
    We wish him the best with his chosen vocation.

          The club plans to continue the scholarship program to help other students to further their education in the automotive field.
